The treatment, Platelet-Rich Plasma, is gaining in popularity for the same reasons celebrities chose it: because of its organic nature. It uses plasma taken form the patient’s own blood instead of chemicals injected into the body. The possibility of side effects is practically nonexistent because the body is unlikely to reject its own blood.

Your physician will draw 10 to 20 milliliters of your blood. Using a standard procedure, causing minimal pain (like taking a standard blood test). Thereafter, the plasma will be separated from the blood components by the centrifuge, in a procedure that will last 10 – 20 minutes
